You forgot that little blip in 1812, the blips in 1915, 1916, 1942, 1993 and the 2001 attack. In each case enemies invaded the USA. In each case, except 1915 and 1993, the USA responded with military force or was already involved with military force.

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and thatís what I intend to reverse.

Well, you did say "in skyscrapers or airliners "over here"". In any case, since Iraq did not participate in the 9-11 attack, our invasion of Iraq could hardly stand scrutiny as a response to that attack.

I forgot about the skyscrapers and airliners in 1776, I guess, since that's where your time line for correlation began. I merely filled-in some gaps, none of which involved airliners or skyscrapers. Even so, no subsequent attacks on US soil occurred. A definite plus, IMO.

We have not been attacked here at home and bad guys have been martyring themselves in wholesale numbers over there. Good for them, Allah be praised. I hope everybody who seeks martyrdom attains that goal. And continue to do so "over there".

Seems to me there is little evidence that the two are connected. I would credit the passenger response in the last 9-11 plane that crashed in Pennsylvania as the most effective deterrent to a repeat use of commercial airliners filled with passengers to attack American cities.

I do find the theory of "fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here" morally bankrupt in this case. America fabricated the WMD story to provide an excuse to invade a country that had zero to do with planning or perpetrating the 9-11 attack. Then either intentionally or by sheer ineptitude, unleashed a chaotic horror on the Iraqi people, inviting the scum of the world to come to kill anyone and everyone for a chance to attack the American soldiers we sent over there as bait.

This disgusting "plan" has destroyed the lives of millions of Iraq's citizens while killing hundreds of thousands of them, along with maiming tens of thousands of America's soldiers and killing over three thousand. And we call that, in attempt to sell it to our citizens and anyone else in the world willing to be hoodwinked "fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here." One hell of a nice jingle, for such an evil and revolting concept.

They are perfectly correlated. Whether there is a causation, who knows?

An excellent distinction! Correlation does not = cause and effect...

Don't believe everything you think
