Riddle: December 23

You are driving your car on a deserted country road at 2 am. The right rear tire goes flat. You reach for the cell phone to call for help and find you have no service in the area.
You proceed to change the flat by jacking up the car, removing the 4 lug nuts and removing the flat tire. As you are installing the spare tire, you accidentally kick the 4 lug nuts down a sewer grate with no chance of retrieval.
What will you do?

I only drive cars with 5 lug nuts. Manly cars.

But if were to do such a dumbass thing obviously I would take a nut from each of the remaining 3 road wheels and drive at a sensible speed until I reach my journeys end or a garage whichever comes first.

THAT would be the correct answer.
Do you have any idea how many don't get that common sense question?
I use that riddle during the interview process for junior mechanics.
Helps weed out the goofballs.

I'm feeling sorta glad that I didn't post my dental floss answer.

Why, I was going to get out my redneck tool kit (duct tape) and wrap it around the wheel studs. It woulda held up for a few hundred feet.

A man with two cigarettes is stranded in the ocean on a row boat with no matches. How does he smoke?

He threw one cigarette over board and made the boat a cigarette lighter.
