Riddle: Dec 22 1/2

At the hardware store I was quoted 12 cents for one, 24 cents for 50, and 36 cents for 144.
I wanted six.
What was I buying and how much did it cost?

House number (presumably stickers you affix on mailboxes) @ 12 cents a piece.

one quarter - 25
two dimes - 20
two nickels - 10
forty-five pennies - 45

25+20+10+45 = 100

Hey Marsie

how are you!

sorry you missed Jilly and Deathy by a hair.

2 cent coin:
yeah, since it's a collectible 50 of those would probably be worth more than a dollar.
