Have you still not bought anything?

Still real happy with the Alpine; the ONLY problem is that if you have a shit ton of music on your iPod, and don't use Playlists intelligently, it's VERY time consuming to scroll through your entire library by artist or song name or what not using it's single volume knob.

The HD radio remains impressive as well...very glad I bought that.

Crutchfield is Awesome. I think they were rated number one in customer service by Consumer Reports.

I have an Alpine CDA-9856 Head unit with the XM in my 98 E320 Wagon. Granted, I am not blinged out but it does sound awesom with the stock Bose speakers. I just wish I could get my 80GB Zune to somehow work with it.

Even if it is just a 2.5mm plug to go into the jack but alas, the headunit will not recognize that there is an Aux Input for some reason.

This unit will be installed in my '87 300TD, which has four 4" speakers--4"!!! I ain't gonna get much base out of those units, so extra oomph would probably be wasted.

So you were the other guy who actually bought a Zune. I met the first one at a Wal-Mart a while back, looking at iPods.

Yeah I know bring on the pillory.

I just can not stand Apple. Their way of doing business is like Wal-Mart.

Planned obsolescence? A third generation iPod classic still works just as well with my head unit as a brand new iPod touch...

QBNCGAR,
My father's 2002 Suburban's factory unit has kicked the bucket. This is the second one. The first one was replaced under warranty. Only 60K miles! The CD player doesn't work, can't read the cds. I would like to replace it but I want to replace it with the same size model so it will look somewhat stock. Do you know of any or recommend any that are the same size as the factory and will fit in that hole without mods? I was thinking about this http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130DEHP...wAll=Y&tp=5684 So is the size a 1.5 DIN or double-din?
Thanks

I am talking about the features that come with the new iPods, iPhones, MacBooks etc.

They design version 10.0 and then releast ver 1.0 then 9 months later ver 2.0, etc.

I do not like the way they do business. So I do not spend my money with them. On top of that, I do not want to spend $300 for an Item when I can spend $250 for an item that has almost 3 times the capacity.

This article describes it in better detail.
