That is an interesting area, beautiful, lonely, scenic.

I went there on vacation many many years ago, in A Buick Skylark I had then, and saw the copper mine at McDermitt, which is right near the Nevada/Oregon border.

I talked to a local in a bar in Winnemucca, (this was around 1980) when passing through, and he tried to sell me a potato ranch he had there, for $10,000.

There used to be a whole bunch of whorehouses in Winnemucca, at least there were back in the early 80's, the last time I ever heard mention of the place.

Now I am not big on US of A geography but something about that phrasing bothers me.
Now that the car has experienced freezing weather for the first time in its life it apparently is trying to subliminally get itself back to California.
