Rice: US Has 'No Permanent Enemies' and Huckabee Is An Idiot...

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Friday held out the prospect of improved relations with the remaining two members of President Bush's "axis of evil," Iran and North Korea, as long as they meet international demands over their nuclear programs.

Rice said the Bush administration in its remaining year would welcome fundamental changes in its dealings with the two countries, as well as with Syria, and as an example pointed to warming ties with Libya, which renounced weapons of mass destruction in 2003.
"The United States doesn't have permanent enemies, we're too great a country for that," she told reporters at a State Department press conference.

Rice: US Has 'No Permanent Enemies'

She also rejected "as just simply ludicrous," Huckabee's criticism that the U.S. acts like the lone ranger in our foreign policy:

And by "very long time" she means since Rootin' Tootin' Dubya decided to lie to all of them so he could go into Iraq.

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and that’s what I intend to reverse.

McBear, just so ya know, B doesn't like it when you use the word "lie" in the context of Shrub's ardent cajoling of the Merkin public to support his absurd and blatantly false assertions with regard to Iraq's "threat" in the run-up to the war. He prefers the terms "misled" or "inadvertently manipulated". He's sensitive that way, and we must honor his wishes.

I carefully chose LIE as I was trying to play nice. It is the least offensive of the words that come to mind with W and his less than truthful, dubious, deceptive, opaquely obfuscating, farfetchingly fabricating, perjurious bullshit regarding the many LIES he told the American people, the UN and the rest of the World regarding Iraq.

Yes, LIE was playing nice.
