And while we are on the subject of steaks
One of the bestest nicesest juicest steaks I ever ate was on an army range in South wales.
Let me explain
The night before we went out to a very good restruant in Saundersfoot
and I ordered the Welsh Black fillet steak.
By the time the steak had arrived I was ready to fall alseep in my dinner
as a result of a 3 day exercise and 3 ( or perhaps more ) beers.
So I wrapped it up in the plush paper napkin ( & yes it should have been Ulster linen ) and put it in my pocket.
Back to camp and bed and up for the ranges the next morning.
Feeling a wee bit hungover it must be said.
So as per usual about 10.00 the tea turned up,
and I was ready to throw up, ( not unusual )
anyway I rooted through my webbing for the packet of biscuits AB that normally were to be found therein
And lo and behold pulled out a VERY blood soaked napkin
Did I mention that I had ordered the steak rare?
I felt even more neausous
But there was an audience
so what could a young officer do when asked somewhat incredously !!
"Your not going to eat that are you Sir?"
So I did
And o boy o boy
As soon as the first bloody morsel hit my stomach
I started to feel BETTER
Especially as some others started to look a little ill.
Oh to be young again
Fuck Christmas shopping
I forgot to mention
No knife was needed to consume said steak

There was a KFC commercial, mysteriously absent from YouTube, where a gal was eating lunch in an office with a knife and fork, and everyone was freaking out. That was comedy. This is real. F'ing yikes.
