Yeah, right here on the internet! Is the internet part of Merka, or, what? Is it kosher to rag on Gore, the father of the internet, on the internet?

By the way, telling people things as you see them regardless of where you might be when the opportunity arises is being truthful. Telling people bullshit and hoping they don't notice you are bullshitting is, well, lying. Telling people bullshit when you don't believe it and they know it is bullshit is called being a stupid liar. Liars are pretty much intolerable as common people, like neighbors or visitors from other lands, or even from outer space. Stupid liars are not only intolerable, they make you wonder if the person or creature if he is from outer space, has some kind of scary, obvious genetic defect.

As a liar, and especially as a stupid liar, you end up being disregarded because of your demonstrated inability to process information accurately whether it is some collection of data or an assessment of your audience's ability to detect you are lying. I guess you "Anti-Gore because he didn't try to bullshit the world at Bali types" would like to be disregarded for being a bullshitter as you think somehow painting the United States as a nation of stupid liars is patriotic. I guess you have that right. Go ahead, be the US version of the Iraqi information minister - I forgot the dumb fuck's name already, but he was the guy who was saying Saddam's forces were successfully repelling the American invaders when they were around the corner from what is now the Green Zone. I think I recall nearly everyone painting him as a stupid stooge at the time, and none of you guys came to his defense for spewing that party line of bullshit, even when his country was being invaded by hostile forces - like his country was at war when all kinds of lying by the government is supposed to be acceptable.

This is one of the most peculiar threads I have seen. I don't recall a single thread where such pointless hatred of a right winger, even Bush, was started and kicked along by others of similar mind without pointing our what the policy was you were objecting to for several days. I take it you are venting your displeasure at Gore merely because he is not willing to act the stooge, and paint America as a nation of stupid liars. Great. I hope he continues to confound and piss you off. He is doing what is right for this country.

By the way, how did you like that uppity motherfucker telling the US to either lead or get out the way? Seems his barbs worked as we got out of the way. Wonderful. Jim

Uh Jim, are you directing that at me?

Though I don't personally like Gore the politician, I do sympathize with his global warming message...in fact, my current job is directly focused on that very issue.

No Z, I edited the post as once I read the whole thing it seemed it could be directed at you. I just used your Merka line to get started. The rest was directed at the personal attack on Gore. I understand your perspective on Gore as a politician. I think he stepped aside as a Presidential candidate, and compared to the rest of the candidates with a chance in either major party, that is probably a shame. But it is his choice. I wouldn't run either. Hell all my brown babies from a misspent youth would be thrown back up in my face! Jim

Plus the implications that Bush is the reason that we are going to die because of global warming. Gore is full of shit. you best be glad he didn't steal the whitehouse.
Would someone explain why it is that every time someone on the LEFT talks about Bush and his failed policies it is "talks shit about America" yet in the past when the RIGHT would talk about Clinton, it was just complaining about Clinton? You kiddies on the Right need to learn the difference. It makes nice talk radio chatter but has no place in reality.

Nice trying to obfuscate but it really is sounding like a pathetic little girl crying to mommy.

Somehow, McBare, despite your claims, I don't see you having a monopoly ownership on reality. Here's some homework for your reality check: find us a documented quote where George H. W. Bush travelled the world and publicly demeaned either the USA or Willy Clinton while he was in office.

So, what you mean to say is that had any of you Clinton haters been questioned overseas about his BJ and the blue dress saga you would have praised him for being such a potent, manly kind of guy with a special way with women?

Yeah, no one told the international press anything bad about Clinton from the right wing.....and, show me where Al Gore said jack shit about Bush before Bush ran for president. Once Bush leaves, he will get the chance to be compared to Al Gore's standard of representing America as an ex-White House inhabitant. Jim

Well, the correct comparison would, of course be Dan Quayle, not GHWBush since Quayle was VP during Bush1 as was Gore to Clinton.

So, to answer your question:

Quayle Enters G.O.P. Race With Vow to Protect Values
By RICHARD L. BERKE, New York Times
Published: April 15, 1999

Proudly resurrecting one of the most controversial episodes of his Vice Presidency -- his denunciation of the Murphy Brown television character -- Dan Quayle today formally announced his candidacy for the Republican Presidential nomination and vowed to make protecting American values a centerpiece of his campaign.

''Murphy Brown is gone, and I'm still here fighting for the American family,'' Mr. Quayle declared to an euphoric crowd in this farming community where he was reared, recalling his 1992 attack on the television character who had a baby out of wedlock.

Belittling what he characterized as ''a dishonest decade of Bill Clinton and Al Gore,'' Mr. Quayle cited President Clinton's impeachment and denounced Vice President Al Gore, the man he might run against in next year's election, for describing Mr. Clinton on the day of his impeachment as a great President.

''What arrogance, what disdain for the values that parents are trying to teach their children,'' Mr. Quayle said.

And yes, I can bring more examples. You really don't want to play this game. You might want to do a little OT search on my research in the future.

But thanks for playing.
