Two Church Shootings in Colorado

Two Shooting incidents, one outside of Denver and the other at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs have occurred today a couple of hours apart. Gunman from the first shooting had not, as of the second shooting been found.

First shooting was at a Missionary Training Center but it did not say for what denomination.

Second shooting, at New Life is still in the "Bulletin at Once" stage. New Life is former home of Bro. Ted Haggard, NeoCon Role Model and Bon Vivant.

Anyone else disturbed that the gunman was killed by one of the church's ARMED security guard?

I am VERY glad no one else was killed but I find it particularly disturbing that a church employs armed security. That pretty much takes that "put your faith and trust in the Lord" and throws it out the window.

I am afraid that just reflects the nature of the world we live in. And I believe it is an outgrowth of liberalism. The idea that we should try to "understand" the crazies rather than deal w/ them on their own level has lead us to this unfortunate state of affairs, IMO. The belief that we--the US--somehow deserved what we got on 9/11 and other terrorist attacks just feeds the insanity that we see all around us--the insanity that requires armed security at church camps. Very sad, indeed.

No. What disturbs me is that you're more disturbed about the armed security guard stopping the disturbance rather than being disturbed about the disturbed individual that caused the disturbance.
