Orange Bowl Questions...

Anyone else going?

Are there any good hotels in the area of the Orange Bowl--which I believe is actually played at Dolphin Stadium? Or should I stay far away and drive in?

I have game tickets but have not had time to find a flight or hotel yet, and am guessing both will be hard to find and expensive to buy: Should I try to fly into another nearby airport and drive down? Which one/s?

What are some fun things to do and places to go while there? South Beach? Etc... ???

I'm planning to go in on 1/1 and return on 1/4, and any suggestions will be appreciated,

Jayhawk

Stay at one of the South Beach hotels. Either one of the big properties or one of the cool designer hotels right on SoBe. I usually stay at Loews St Moritz Miami Beach but the smaller Delano is also really nice.

If it is warm [above about 80] be prepared at South Beach as it is somewhat topless.

South Beach tourist area is really fun for people watching as is the Art Deco tour of architecture.

The restaurants on Ocean Blvd are great. Try Lario's on Ocean. It is owned by Gloria Estefan and has great Cubano food. It has been around for a while [I have been eating there for 7 years] and it has established itself. Not a flybynight celeb type place.

I tried that myself. The giggles got annoying after a while.

So I just stay dressed.

I once spent a couple of hours sampling the Olive Garden's Never Ending Pasta Bowl but SEVEN YEARS has to be some kind of a record!
