Fortunately, the wait for a suitable kidney for transplant follows a different course than the path to legal residence.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Dig, I and the donor had too jump through 2 weeks of expensive legal hoops in Singapore before we were even given an interview with a 7 person transplant commitee that interviewed us both separately before we were approved. We did not go to China nor India where we could have basically been approved in a matter a couple of days. I understand the SIngapore process is even more strignent than the States but we did it, legally.

'The donor'- Isn't that a rather cold and unappreciative way to describe your poor Indonesian brother-in-law who so kindly (and legally) gave you his kidney?
