Funny, but he has a good point. 12 ounces of sausage will cook down to about 8 ounces of meat. Paper towels used to come 100 per roll, now it's 60 or less. Parkay squeeze margerine was a 16 ounce bottle, now it's 12 ounces. Ice cream was a half gallon, now it's 56 ounces. The standard for pre-packaged meat has always been a pound. Bacon went to 12 ounces years ago. Businesses are looking for more creative ways to make more profit while making their products in smaller package quantities. The most creative one I seen was the roll of paper towels that had a tube so big you could slide a drive shaft in it.
