Jaime Melo was driving the # 62 Ferrari F430 GTC while Jörg Bergmeister was driving the # 45 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. Both cars had Michelin tires.

The 1st and 2nd place cars in GT2 completed 330 laps. Just 16 were under caution for the 55th running of the Twelve Hours of Sebring. The margin of victory was just .202 seconds.

Ferrari got its first victory in the Twelve Hours of Sebring since 1998 when Didier Theys, Mauro Baldi, and Gianpierro Moretti won in a Ferrari 333SP.

The back stretch is called the Ulmann straight.

Part of the track used to be a training base during WWII for B-17s.

More GT2 cars will join the American Le Mans Series in 2008. Also, Hankook tires will race in GT2.

Johnny raced with Risi Competizione in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They won Sebring. A warm-up spin and crash at Petit Le Mans may have led to his departure from the Risi team.
