Started installation on yet another koi pond, this one hand dug by myself and a couple of unemployed Polish roofers who were unaccustomed to ground level work. I gotta go out now and lay down about 2 more tons of stone. Medical question: Should I be able to trip over my own testicles?

Shouldn't you be helping your neighbor with the re-sodding and a little landscaping, first?

If I don't take the pills the wine choice for tonight is a Chateau Petrus 1982. A couple of glasses will do but at least I can share this with wifey and maybe get a message...ok forget the pills
Sorry to hear, Prof.

I'm working ever so slowly on reinsulating the attic of our house and I feel your pain. I'm taking the old rockwool insulation that has flattened into a pancake over the years and taking time to vacuum whatever debris that has accumulated over the years before laying new insulation. I found a newspaper clipping dating back from 1953 during the process. It gives me an idea: I should slip the front page of The New York Times under one of the batts I'm going to install.

I found one of the rafters that form a valley where the dormer meets the main roof had split. I have to jack the thing up and put a sister beam.

Meanwhile, an unfortunate accident took place right below where I was working when my wife dropped a glass jar onto a lavatory - cracking the porcelain sink.

Two more new projects within a span of 15 minutes.

Got no backache yet but massive headache.

Prof:
have you looked into this by any chance?

Attic Dek, by Metro Products, The Best Way to Floor Your Attic

I plan to install about 4 dozen of these on 2x6's, over R-19 insulation and cover them with strips of R-30 which can be moved around as storage needs in the attic changes by season.

Thanks Nao, yeah I know what you mean by projects propping up out of the blue. After installing the bathroom fan now we have to redo the bathroom ceiling and repaint the whole space.
As to that product I think it's great but I will pass because I want to make sure that we don't end up using the attic for storage. I would hate to go looking for something my wife asked me to find while crouching. I think what hurt me is the crouching and twisting and I must have irritated a nerve connecting the spine to to my right leg. Man I got a dull pain including my right ball. I was thinking of ordering Jayhawk's GOP calendar and maybe that should help relieve some pressure the natural way. I hate going to the doc you know.
