Chronic homelessness drops by nearly 12 percent

The number of people who are chronically homeless dropped by nearly 12 percent from 2005 to 2006, according to government estimates being released Wednesday. I think this speaks to the robust U.S. economy and a few effective government programs.

I'm pretty sure they were all suited up and shipped to Iraq. Sure glad there isn't any mortgage crisis, because that could leave folks homeless, couldn't it?

Wait till this time next year and see if you are still accurate with those stupid figures of yours, Jay.

There are 2 millions home owners facing foreclosure now.

Who, Blackwater? Another of GW's now wildly wealthy buddies at the expense of American taxpayers?

It does have a lot to do with effective government and volunteer programs. You might want to read the article first as employment isn't mentioned [for good reason], nor is the incredibly high number that die annually and those that just fade away into the corners, uncounted.

No robust economy assisting the homeless suggested from this article or from the economy itself, but nice try.

Those "stupid figures" are not mine. They are from The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development...

Did I say anything about "employment?" It doesn't take a genius to connect less homelessness and a good economy. You are starting to look a bit biased bear... Now there's a good one: Biased bear! But who here would believe you had a bias of any kind?

well my teaching job was going nowhere under Bush but I am glad I made the switch to exotic dancer because now I am not going to lose my house and have my kids live with me under a bridge while I pimp my wife for some food.
