Metal rain has its place but not for delivering that "reach out and touch someone" personal touch that they like to show on FauxNews so much.

And the kids in Iran have advanced SAMS that might bring down a B2. While stealthy, its not the fastest bird in the nest.

Ah hog wash!!!!! Isn't the Iranian's Air Force most sophisticated hardware are the F-15? I think its a scare tactics Pentagon is using to scare the wits out of the IraniAF. You fly, you die.

Maybe it's a prelude of Bush's imminent much debate American Dynasty on Iranian soil.

In an almost paranoid way I tend to agree with you that this could be a trick for the Iranians to go into a detente (drop their guards) and wam here cames the bam

Maybe we can just buy Chinese ones.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

From what I have learned, Iran is not a friendly place for either air or tank warfare. The mountainous terrain makes SAMs and anti-tank warfare easy. There is only one way to defeat them short of atomic weapons: old fashioned infantry. The correct strategy would have been to pursue an alliance with the Russians at all costs and then jointly invade the place. Now all we really end up with is more Bush/Cheney incompetence. The US can barely maintain 200,000 troops in the field. How could we possibly put together the several millions it would take to defeat them?

Sorry I was and am being a bit dark and grim, the payload that B2 was setting free would not be morally acceptable if a live one, but it's the cheap option, I don't see Vlad baby coming to help he would rather you paid for it, like America can afford much more of this, they are playing you guys like you played them with the space race, going for bank breaking cost to drive you down, call my buff time seams to be coming to the table again . I hear vacuum bomb are all the rage now a days .

Agreed. Though that would take an act of congress....right...... like that can ever happen. Might as well be trying to buy brand new Sukhoi's.
