Which state area would be the best to invest in, I fancy something on the civilized East coast, but I doubt folks in the bits of real estate I would fancy have overextended themselves.
I can tell you that Tulsa is the 8th least expensive city in the USA in which to buy property.

Arlington or Ft. Worth, Texas may not be bad, except you're so close to Dallas. Very low median home prices.

The sky is not falling so much as the foundation is in bad need of repair. And not looking at the issues and hoping that the problems will go away is not a solution.

I have found the more you read, and the more folks you talk to about the problems the better understanding you can have. Makes decision making much easier. And not just the Dem v Rep decision.

Well, having been to Antrim tracking down the McAllisters that wandered back and forth from Kintyre Scotland to County Antrim for a couple hundred years I would say you would fit pretty well in Central Kentucky. The landscape is about the same [except the SEA part]. $1MUS would get you 20 acres and about a 4000sqft house with 10 car barn [can't call it a garage or the taxes go up]. You are three hours flying from Chicago, New York, Atlanta and have taxes and insurances that are some of the lowest in the nation. There are plenty of businesses that cater to the Irish, Scot and English residents in the area.

If you started missing home, you could visit the Queen's horses that she keeps at Will Farish's farm or see her as she comes to visit them annually.

You could probably get a decent 1BR flat in NYC for that... Good luck buying food and other essentials, however.

There you go again...

Constantly living under that cloud you create will give your skin a deathly pallor.
