Yes, best wishes for a positive diagnosis and quick recovery. My brother in law fell off some scaffolding at home about 14 months ago. He shattered both ankles and went through a year of terror. He contracted all kinds of infections in the hospital and, to make a long story short, is going to have his left leg amputated next week because of essentially incompetence by the original infectious disease specialist and then the orthopedic surgeon. His other leg is healed but not too functional. Be selective about where you are treated, and make sure you have a team of doctors with a well established reputation in Houston. My brother in law didn't do much shopping around and expected the hospital to have a staff of top notch physicians. That turned out to be a mistake. Kind of like selecting a mechanic to work on the 280SL. Not every shop is going to be qualified to work on your machine, and not every doctor is going to be qualified to work on your left arm. Good luck, and stay in charge of what is done to you. Jim

The fact a BWOT poster is forced to resort to an actual live women is surely a mark of shame here.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

The ER supplied surgeon was a joke and on the advice of a good friend I fired the dweeb before he had a chance to butcher me and retained one of the top hand surgeons in Houston, a man who also holds a full professorship at Baylor. The other jerk was just going to slice me open and screw the joints back together. The prof has approached it totally different, making a careful study of the injury over the course of the week, sending me out for MRIs, and also a thorough nerve analysis by a noted neurologist using the latest scientific equipment. The important thing in Htown is to talk to people involved in the Space Program, there are top notch people here who originally came to the area for that and stayed to open private practice. I believe I am in good hands.

What's wrong with an MRI. The noisy doing.doing.doing.doing.doing.doing.doing. doing.doing.doing.doing.doing. ratchet.ratchet.ratchet.doing. doing.doing.doing.doing.doing

If you do them enough, you get used to them.

Sounds like you got a good guy to work on your hand. That is the most important part. I got the orthopedic that did Grant Hill's ankle/leg for my ankle/leg and they put me pretty much together [the two xrays of his break and mine side by side look like X and .75X]. It makes a difference when someone good does it. Then make sure you do ALL the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. That is what will make or break the success.

Just guessing this was prior to your employment of Luke and Shawn. A few passes with an air chisel, followed by some trimming with the electric metal snip shears and then a couple of hours on the english wheel and the boys would've made you right as rain.

And why is it always Luke and Shawn. Why isn't it ever Shawn and Luke? Huh?

That's what I thought too. I have had 7 in the last 3 years for this or that trouble I got myself in too. Must be the claustrophobia (spelling) talking.....
