BTW, I'll be in Houston over Christmas. Much belated thanks to Houston real estate info earlier this summer - I tried to express my thanks via sending Ann Coulter verbal diarrhea link via PM but your mailbox was full (not too surprised with all the hate mails you must be receiving).

Get well soon. Hope you'll sue the ass out of the moron who ran the stop sign.

BTW, can you tell us what the sound of one hand clapping sounds like?
Thanks to all for the kind words. The bum who ran the stop sign escaped scott free. The people who witnessed the accident were so concerned with me they did not even try to get his plate. I will be going in for a major operation on my left hand tommorrow where it will ascertained whether damage to my left hand is permanent or can be repaired. Looks like long holiday vacation in any case.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Best of luck in your recovery.

Actually it was my liberal-like attention to rider safety that saved me. I had on a helmet, leather jacket and sapper style riding gloves and my favorite pair of asshole stomper Harley steel reinforced riding boots. The leather goods looked like they had been tossed into the middle of a dog fight, if that had been my skin I would probably be dead. Striking my head on the pavement in a helmet put me in a short coma, I would have fractured my skull like Gallegher's watermelons without it. Some rightwing anti-regulation type dressed up like Ted Nugent would certainly have died.

You don't happen to drive a white Ford pickup by any chance?

And all that...with one hand. ^^^

Hope it all goes well dudio. Glad you are ok. My helmet most certainly saved me from death/brain damage about 17 yrs ago. (Purchased just days before I dropped the thing.)

No. Although I wish I did...

for hauling firewood and such.

Sometimes our better natures can save us from our 'other' ones.

It's a hard world on two wheels I know. As one who has been down it before without an engine, it can seem like the white PU trucks of the world, with the 'Proud to be an American!" bumper stickers marking the impact point, are out to get you... when actually they are just idiots with hangovers or nagging wives, too many privileges or a longing to escape the moment... or whatnot other random something or others.
A hard world indeed, to go 'a spreading' love in. So let that coma be a lesson to you. That a feeling of love often evokes the opposite in response. And keep your eyes peeled the white PU trucks... there freaking everywhere.

Spent the day in and out various medical facilities. The MRI thing is a trip. I will be undergoing an operation tomorrow that will probably decide the course of the rest of my life. It is funny how life can turn in an instant.
