When looking about at C230 Kompressor vehicles, the early models were actually equipped with a 2.3 in-line 4 cylinder engine. Later ones have a 1.8 liter, in-line 4. And the sedan in the W202 chassis was not a bad car. If you must juice it up look for a Sport model and then check out what you might be able to do with a modification to the electronic controls for fuel and ignition, and likely the duty cycle on the Kompressor.
Like Shane said, margins are decreasing. But the old 2.3 got about the same output as the present 1.8, which might lead one to believe there may be another ten or twenty foot-pounds across the rpm band to be had from the old 2.3. It will cost you fuel economy though. We had one and my wife lead footed it so much the car got about 23 mpg on its best tank of high-test. Make it any more inspiring to keep the supercharger engaged, and you'll be lucky to get 20 mpg averages. Jim
