Well in the UK we had a Ch 4 series called:
Channel 4 - The Worst Jobs in History - Home

but that little weasel Tony Robinson (Baldrick from Blackadder) was not nearly as funny as Mike Rowe.

What ya saying m8y ? Tony Robinson is biblically unfunny, not even an under study to Rowan. Peter Sellers at the very height of his career only made it to mildly amusing what hope Tony Robinson , he has the shiest job in the world ....being Tony Robinson, but Mike Rowe he is what I'd call a card, but I don't see him pulling of the job of a Elizabethan dung beetle, you just can't get the staff now a days.

How curious.
I've seen those 'shitty job' shows and admire both presenters for (on camera anyway) getting stuck in.
Tony Robinson as 'Baldrick' was a heroic little grubby sod..I enjoyed his character in the Blackadder series immensely!!.
