I said the car was new.

Mega low mile used cars are simply the best you can do with old cars in regard to money. Low mile/orig and classic cars that have a known following ensure no resto. is needed and no money lost in cosmetics and mechanical. They get only enough miles placed upon them to keep them running. They can be sold at anytime for a profit and the money placed elsewhere.

No, you did not state that the car was new...not that I would know or care one iota. Perhaps a low-mileage '84 Cimarron is more to your liking.

(ahem)
"You can tell this isn't going to be pretty, and it is his first new ride ever so I am sure he is going to be sensitive."

I am not going to lower myself to bashing Volkswagen again.

[ahem]...[phlegm]...and, your point would be?

If you're attempting to draw me into some sort of weird, "my list strokes my fluffies more than yours" contest...then you win--whatever.

My list:

'87 Mercedes 300TD -- original engine/transmission -- 228k miles (148hp --> 200+hp)
'89 VW Transporter -- original engine/transmission -- 206k miles
'89 Audi 90 Quattro -- original engine/transmission -- 202k miles

Yeah, that IQS is the shit...

V6 automatic Mustang? I guess he was bummed they don't offer the 2.3L non-turbo automatic anymore.

Honestly, what he got is a genuine secretary's car.

They don't call it a "White-trash Ferrari" for nothing.

Well Shane, you say he is a dear friend. To each his own. He didn't buy it for you, he bought it for himself. If he's happy with it, you can be happy for him that he got something he likes. If he pushes you to validate his choice, all you can say is that everyone has their own needs and if this meets his you are happy for him. Tell him it's a great looking car, you may have chosen a different engine but that's you.

Hey, how about those Porsche rankings?
