Trucker comments sum it up for me.
============================
"There's kind of a blind spot, so if you boogie around the bend too fast and there's somebody stopped in the tunnel, it'll be 'boom-boom-boom', Arthur Johnson, 45, of Buckeye, Ariz., told the Los Angeles Times.
Truck driver Fausto Angelino said he's been driving that stretch of road for 23 years.
"I hold my breath every time," he said.

Just put a little water on the ground and it's bound to happen. It wasn't like it was big storm or heavy fog, just a rectal cranial inversion. It's a California thing. Instant idiots, just add water.

Well said. Spot on. It is far worse in the San Francisco Bay Area. You should see it there; people driving new Toyota Corollas when their most recent prior experience was herding water buffalos in Vietnam or something - WTF do you expect?

In my experience, those drivers who have hit the bong tend to drive slower and pay more attention to detail, especially sunsets and shizzle like that.

I would have to agree.....and the problem is that sometimes the details are so interesting they miss things like the guy in front of them isn't moving, and they are still are....
