Well now, let's see. Do we draw quotes from those on the right who defended every action of General Sanchez, touting his exemplary military career, his experience, his "boots on the ground knowledge", his "staying the course"? Do we go with those opinions that told us that we should trust the good General because he had much more intel than we had available, that he really knew what was going on, that he knew of the successes, that he knew what needed to be done to win?
Or since he has said this do we just call him a Kookberger and be done with it?
Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.
