[QUOTE=FeelTheLove;2575041]"All imperialist nations have met disaster."
Everything has a life cycle, more often than not free will decides the outcome. All nations disentigrate at some point and the reasons are many; be it weather, enemies, or disinterest.
"The US Constitution is the embodiment of the idea that while society's needs must be recognized, it is the individual who is paramount."
The individual rules, that is until a multitude of individuals use religion, faith, and patriotism to control you through something as simple as numbers. Do you think North America became what it is today without sacrifice, slavery, and wholesale native indian slaughter and neglect?
"Your idea of how nation's fall is your own."
History begs to differ as far back as the written word can be traced. Nations are there as a practical entity to give something in return for services rendered. When the return is no longer enough, or someone else offers more, then it is time for it to go. Ancient Greenland's small farming community dried up when the small ice age came, the natives left for warmer areas that would support life as they knew it. Rome spent centuries in decay as the marauders from the north became more sophisticated and offered local natives more than the Romans could give.
"If it withstands the current onslaught against it's ideals, it will stand forever."
You and I agree here, the onslaught has been sickening to watch. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Good intentions like becoming passive in a progressive world.
