Well there is Tavern on Rush for good Steak and all the party you could want on Rush Street.

For Chicago Style Pizza [really the only kind] there is Gino's on Huron.

You'll have a lot of fun both places. Be cool, check in with the concierges and/or wait staff & bartenders wherever you're staying, and ask them for the local to-do places.

I'd recommend you hit a restaurant in someplace like Chelsea when in NYC (those in the know will kindly shut up), and buy a knock-off high dollar watch for $20 if you get the chance. There are some absolutely amazing restaurants in Little Italy. Get some sidewalk vendor food, and authentic NY style pizza. Your colon will never be the same.

In NYC, try dinner at The River Cafe beneath the Brooklyn Bridge. It used to be great, (Nao can probably give you a more recent opinion) and the view fron there on a nice evening is spectacular. Good wine list too.

Grab a copy of the 'LA Weekly' FREE from any liquor store or newspaper box thingy on the street. It will give you the nightlife/arts/sleaze info in LA especially Santa Monica (very close by).

Smoke a very large spliff and go to Disneyland(You'll be glad you did !).

Go to the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd where moviestar hand/footprints are in cement ...R2D2 has 3 feet !

Go to Las Vegas and see what Americans can do with a desert(peacetime).

PS. Rent a car.
