It's just great to hear you made it back home safe!!! I hope your mom is OK now, and you can get the car cleaned up well. I looked over the car when you were in Sacramento, and it is really a praiseworthy car, it is a very good one, extremely well bought, and a rare 2nd Gen. W126 AMG coupe, very hard to find them after 1985. It will be a stunner when you are done with it.

It was good to meet you personally and gab over some decent food.

Euro lights and a trunk warning hazard triangle are definately recommended for finishing touches on that super AMG coupe of yours. A real keeper.

BTW Did you get much documentation from Canepa Motorcars in Santa Cruz about the AMG process it went through there?

I will be emailing you pretty soon about your trip pictures btw, thanks in advance.....

Same from me. Glad you made it back safely. I hope your Mom is doing better.
Perhaps she needs a spin in the AMG coupe.

Canepa had basic information about the car but would not provide the name of the owner, saying I get to enjoy finding that out myself. The car was bought in Sacramento and taken to Canepa for mods and spent the first four years of its life driving up and down between San Francisco and LA by a musician. First owner of record is the leasing company and they have since purged their records. I will start digging through the two folders of paperwork this evening to see if there are clues.

As for mom, I think dementia is starting to sneak up. That happens in the mid 80s and she is there. I talked to her doctor this morning and he thinks that they can stabilize some of it but that she just gets uneasy when I am not around [note to those of you with just one child, get another one, they will appreciate it when you are in your 80s ]

Now it is time to get ready for some football. I have tickets and a parking spot right across from the stadium. Since this will be the first game I have seen this year, they will fold. It is, however perfect fall weather, 71, clear with minimal wind. Should be fun.

Later.
