If you are going to RatWorld, I would go to DisneyWorld instead of DisneyLand just due to the amount of stuff to do. You can put DL in DWs parking lot. If you have kids 4-13, they will like DisneyWorld as it pretty much has everything set up for that age group. You can also head over to EPCOT which is "next door" for a completely different experience.
The Orlando area has so many different parks that you could spend a month and never see the same thing twice. Expect to spend about $100-125 per person per day PLUS lodging at any of the parks as tickets just went up. Tix are about $70 and food, souvenirs will add another $25+ per. Orlando hotels are pretty cheap but the E Ticket is staying on site at one of the many Disney properties. They cost more but you basically are Disney from the second you check-in, through your park visit until you check out [and they have package prices that save on ticket prices.
