Hopefully your kids are younger than 9 or 10, or are REALLY into Disney, or are girls. Failing all of that, Disney was a bit of a waste for us. The only highlight was the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. They really know how to do it right.

My son is more into Pixar than traditional Disney characters. We enjoyed Space Mountain, that was about it. One ride at MGM was fun - the Hotel thing with the elevator drop. We spent parts of three days at Universal, and had way more fun for way less money.

A cruise might be cool, again, if your kids are young or love Disney. You'd better be in the latter camp, or you'll be puking sick of it all after a few days.

OK but if you have dinner one night at one of those Medieval Times themed restaurants, slip some plastic utensils in your pocket or you'll be picking through your food with your fingers.

If it's not a sandwich or come from a bag, there are few foods I like to eat with my fingers. Pizza and fried chicken...not much else.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
