Ron Paul someday, just not today. He has some very good points, but the country will never go for it, he is too radical and the masses too complacent. We are still on the road to socialism and a manipulated egalitarian society.

The logic of your claim is not justified by the "the masses (being) too complacent" or that "we are still on the road to socialism and a manipulated egalitarian society." If not today, Shane, how does waiting longer make it right "someday?" As I see it the time to fix what ails the country is today. And of any of the candidates, combined with a Democratically controlled Congress, Ron Paul is the choice. Those changes needed most will be made, some needed to a lesser extent will be made, and the ones you find "kookie" or peculiar likely won't. With a Democratic candidate in the office of POTUS, we will just see more of the same we saw under Bush with the possible exception of our foriegn policy. And with a Republican candidate making it to POTUS we will see a seamless extension of all of Bush's bizzare bullshit. No, I see it like the time for Ron Paul is now more than ever.

Methinks he isn't radical at all, the rest are . . . . all one needs to do is read the COTUS and compare it to what all the candidates have to say.

We can only hope.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Ok fine, but jeezaoo, WHY did you have to close your remarks with Nixon's 1972 campaign slogan?

I almost blew my cookies when I saw that

Bad flashback.

My favorite Nixon campaign slogan was "He's the one!" We had that on a poster of a really ugly, 9 months or more pregnant black woman, in our dorms at school. Sorry about the cookies, the use of anything Nixon related in a thread on Dr. Paul's run for the Presidency was inadvertent. Jim
