In The Hood Detail...
of my Jeep I got about 6 mos. ago. Thought I would share because all you guys talk about is cars, cars, cars. I mean maybe we could delve into politics or relationships at sometime in the future, but until then here is a set of pics of what I have done to my '79 Wagoneer. This is a garage kept, 54k mile SUV, but in case you did not know AMC considered door jambs and under the hood paint not really worthy of serious consideration. Then again fit and finish in the seventies pretty much did hit an all time low across the board.
So I disassembled, sanded, and had someone else paint all the inner areas that made the poor Texas vehicle look like northern poo. Now she is starting to look humane and all that is left under the hood is to replace the original, peeling, 360 cu in valve covers with some nice aluminum ones from the aftermarket.
Oh and yes that is my new garage going up in the background. Four more bays to add to the four already attached to the house. This garage should be done just in time to put the new low mile '90 300ZX twin turbo (5spd) and a mint '84 Ninety Eight Regency Brougham Oldsmobile in for the winter. Blah, blah, blah...
