A home-made camera! It would be a great shot even if that weren't the case.

you may want to print it to be framed and hang at some point.

one way is to take the image file to one of the professional digital image processing services (in NYC that would be Duggal, e.g.).

or you can invest in a professional quality printer for consumers -- Epson Stylus Pro series for example. Whatever the choice, get the best you can afford; it does not make sense to put in all the work and they have the effort diluted by a mediocre printer and ink.

btw, excellent.

Prof:
looks good to me on my screen. If you think her face is overexposed, you can always burn in, but I like the 'flattened' features that draw the viewers immediately to her eyes and keep them there.

mine, with some digital manipulation (contrast, exposure, color to BW, skewing perspective, etc)

^ Make sure you put that on a slideshow during his wedding.

I love the grain effect, moreso on the first image - you can't get that with digital unless you're a Photoshop maven.

The first one is his younger bro and that guy has not changed, he is the ultimate joker. I think his wedding will be a blast seeing his friends and his attitude. I hope to have the honor to photograph both of their weddings.

Each one of the three is lovely. Like everyone else, I think the third one looks the best. But it's also the kind of shot we've come to expect in this type of portrait. On the other hand, the second one reveals an unsettling level of emotional depth which is unusual for a child's portrait and which, therefore, makes it the most interesting shot.

I was messing with windows photoshop (or whatever it's called) and got this by accident. Looks a bit like a pen and ink study to me.
