Bit late coming in on this one,
but I looked at Britling, Rolex, etc for a "Macho" watch, too macho & bulky for my wee wrists, bought a stainless steel Tag simply because it had Sapphire glass and fitted my wrist. OK needs a battery every 3 or 4 years and the clasp failed early on ( fixed it myself, Lunns, the jewlellers, wanted to replace it )
The stainless is scuffed to hell and gone over 8 years of daily wearing including building a house ( out of concrete blocks ) etc, etc -- but the dial is still crystal clear.
I did consider Tissot, but it was a bit too dressy for a daily.
And yes, if I had been buying a Rolex, it would have been second hand, almost certinaly from Lunns, who are a reputable firm, and probably the biggest jewellers in N Ireland.
