Actually, my question when I saw the tag: "Elau, is Minnie Pearl your wife?"

And then I thought hey, that's just an expensive knock-off of the Steinhausen!

DR,
Thanks. It is not a slim watch by any means. It measures 7.9 mm height and water resistance up to 3 ATM (30 m). The case is actually made up of 23 parts.

That makes it almost affordable, just a bit over $500 for each case part.

Seriously, it is an awesome watch, hard to think that being 1/4 the cost of an E class though.

IMO, this represents the ultimate clock / wrist watch combination.
An amazing piece of craftsmanship.

Seeing this thread again just reminded me of the white gold swiss watch my mother has that is studded with rubies on the band and diamonds on the face. It hasn't run in years but I've been tempted to have it repaired for her.

cmitch, I say do it if you have the funds available. Moms love that sort of thing and you'll never regret it...unless you don't do it.

^^^^^^ yeah, I had totally spaced the conversion loss from Euro or GBP anyway. Plus dealing with customs.
