The Phoenix-Osama-Oakland Connection?

Of course it could just mean someone wanted an excuse to avoid the ugly boyfriend/girlfriend confrontation this evening at the McDonald's on Central Ave...

Southwest Jet Returns To Oakland After Bomb Threat

OAKLAND A Southwest Airlines flight from Oakland Airport was forced to return back to the airport Friday afternoon after the airline received a threat.

Flight 770 left the airport for Phoenix at approximately 4:09 p.m. A bomb threat was called in to the airline's reservation center at 4:25 p.m. Officials say the threat was specific to the flight.

After hearing word of the threat, the captain decided to return back to Oakland Airport.

All 123 passengers safely departed the plane and were placed in a secure holding area.

Transportation Security Administration officials unloaded and inspected luggage on board, with a bomb squad standing.

Officials with Southwest Airlines say the passengers will make it to Phoenix sometime Friday night.

So if you are already in the air and at altitude, why, pray tell did he not just continue to go to Phoenix. Or land at the NEAREST airport if safety of the concern.

I thought this was going to be about the chick that got dressed down by the Southwest Airlines Attendant [let's call him Biff] for not having appropriate clothing. This on Southwest.

THEN go to Vid of Blonde "airline said her outfit was revealing"

They removed the direct link - sorry

While I don't have a problem with what she modeled, the fact that she adjusted it to be less revealing suggests that it was much more revealing than as modeled on the Today show. And apparently another passenger complained, SW said:

Southwest Airlines was responding to a concern about Ms. Ebbert's revealing attire on the flight that day. As a compromise, we asked her to adjust her clothing to be less revealing, she complied, and she traveled as scheduled. When a concern is brought to our Employees' attention, we address that situation directly with the Customer(s) involved in a discreet and professional manner. Fortunately, as an airline that carries approximately 96 million Customers a year, these situations are extremely rare.

No doubt the lawsuit will reveal all...

Well, that's about right. She'll make millions from the impending lawsuit and then her Hooter's career will really flourish.

With the exception of the inability of setting down without showing her "jockeys for her" that outfit looks like everything you see on any campus, especially in SoCal. I couldn't figure out just how much worse it could have been worn. And I pay attention to these things - 40+year habits are hard to break and honed to perfection.

Apparently she was also wearing it in a way that exposed her midriff, I saw a blurb about it in the Chronicle that "revealed" that additional tidbit. So if she had the skirt hiked up to show the undies and the top pulled up to show the midriff -- so except for the sweater she'd have been dressed for tip-gathering at Hooters -- I guess I can see the problems some other passengers might have had. It's at least gratifying to know that if someone complains about the inappropriateness of another passenger's dress that the airline may take measures, but I'm having trouble figuring out the passenger that would have complained. Maybe a young islamic male who couldn't stand being dragged into a mental image he thought allah wouldn't appreciate? Perhaps a doddering old grandma who didn't like being told to shut up when she suggested the girl might not show the world her goodies? Certainly not a red-blooded American male, regardless whether he's had 40+ years to hone those instincts...

Yeah, and the fat cow who complained only uses 1/2 of the passenger's seat next to her.

But don't dare voice an opinion regarding the 'spill over' because that's just downright discriminatory.

Bunch of fucking fat arsed self righteous prudes out there.
