Checked in the Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital yesterday, since the doctors want me cleaned up best they can before the transplant I do dialysis one day (today they suck out 3 liters of liquid out of me) and tomorrow they will do another 3 hour session of Blood Plasma Exchange, where they take my blood extract the plasma out of it and put in a synthetic plasma back in my blood. They need to do this as I have 2 B cells (B?6 and B?7) that I have the antibodies for and my donor has these in his blood so they are removing these antibodies out of my blood and as well giving me drugs to supress my system from making anymore of these antibodies.
I will do 3 more sessions of dialysis every other day and 3 more Blood Plasma exchanges every other day finishingon Wednesday and operation Thursday afternoon, in the ICU on Thursday night and part of Friday and awake and feeling like crap Friday afternoon with drainage tubes coming from my kidneys to my shopping bag hanging on my bed for more than a week I am told, oh looking forward to that.......
