I head an interesting statistic today regarding the Corp of Engineers and their Contracts in NOLA. One contractor is getting $175 per TON to remove debris from condemned areas. The subcontracted driver who actually does the work get $5 per TON. These were all No-Bid Contracts since they had to be done so quickly. Some of the work is scheduled for next month.
