He would be a strictly "hands on" manager, a guy who can really get his hands around a opportunity and milk it for everything it's got.

I thought this was going to be a thread about Bushie trying to figure out how to stay in office, ala Rudy post 9/11 as he tried to postpone Bloomburg's mayoral term 'for the good of the City".

To answer your question, however, Ted Kaczynski comes to mind. Just as crazy and cavalier with the law but if his speaking style is as bad has his writing, Presidential speeches might even be more vacuous and mind numbing [and I did not think that possible].

Let's not be obtuse, Ron. The problem with our government isn't limited to the Presidency. Like it or not, we can obviously do better, but we could do a hell of a lot worse.

Fortunately, you have high expectations for our elected officials.

No it isn't, but you cannot detract from the current administration's blatant promotion of mass murder and fascism by spreading the blame to those who in some cases were successfully duped by that same administration. As you suggest, the problems we face today did not start and stop with the presidency, they only started there. Personally, I would take anyone on your list over GW, and might even consider a resurrected Joseph McCarthy...

Are you kidding me? Consider the lives and money wasted by our jackass in chief, while a POTUS as clever as Mr. Kaczynski might have taken out Saddam with the simple and unwitting assistance of the postal service.

Would not Mr. Kaczynski's felony conviction preclude him as per the parameters outlined by GS? '...BTW, it must be someone who can actually run...'
