^^^That could be taken in some quarters to mean that there is a subtext here that you glorify war for its own sake. If so you should deploy there right awy so you won''t miss out in the fun.
I 'm sure there is no shortage of terrorists over there who would be glad to accomodate you, as there are lots of them who feel the same way.
Unwittingly or not, you are an apologist for the right wing political types who are glorifying the carnage over there. There are groups making large profits from the war who have nothing to gain if it ends.
There are many similarites to Vietnam, if you are old enough to remember that war, or read about it and took your condescending advice for others to read.
it turned out to have started for murky and unsustained or unsupportable reasons (Domino theory, WMD allegations unproved or 911 excuse)
turned into a swamp because it was fought as a combat military land war on foreign soil without a clear sense of purpose, or truth telling to the people,
made unwninnable because the Politicians never would think abouve their self serving ends
made unwinnable because politicians tried to have guns and butter at the same time
Politicians hamstrung the military and ramped up the war little by little by little, making it easy for the enemy to respond or wait it out
It will not be easy to get the troops out - and probably a lot of that expensive stuff might get left behind in the sand box
ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING
The public in general is getting fed up with the war and is beginning to feel it was based on lies
Once that sentiment becomes strong it will be hard to reverse
No Presidenial candidate today - as in 1972 - could dare expect to win without a promise to end a mistakenly conceived, endlessly mismanaged, politically directed war, with no end in sight
It is why John Mc Cain will never be President.
