One interesting part of the body of Bush's speech is his referrals to bringing Democracy to the Middle East. What he did not point out, yet there is much evidence to support is that when a Democrazy is formed, and elections are held and we [the US] don't get the results we want [see Palestine/West Bank/Gaza] then we drop all support for Democrazy.
The same thing is going on in Iraq. Our guy Milarky is not doing as we want. Just a few weeks ago Bush announced that he would be having a talk with Milarky to set him straight. In today's speech he says...It is their country, their decisions.
So, to review, Democrazy is REALLY GOOD as long as the country in question sings from OUR hymnal. If someone who is not Pro US is voted in, they are no longer considered a Democrazy by this Administration.
Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.
