After a long, slow, painful debilitating illness.

Beheading doesn't seem bad, you have time to get your affairs in order once sentence is pronounced and it's over very quickly and pretty much painlessly.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)

Having two Chinese dwarfs take a wood rasp with cocaine on the end and slowing scrape your balls, all the while making you watch pee wee's big adventure.

Agreeing with Greg here. We watched my mother die of metastatic stomach cancer, and I think it's also the worst way for the loved ones. You can add Lou Gehrig's Disease, Huntington's Chorea, Altzheimer's, Parkinson's Disease, and a host of others to the list.

LOL, how many martinis does that make Yoseyman? It's 5:40pm as I write this, and I'm leaving right now and going to the store for a bottle of gin!

Actually, beheading is quick with no pain although the head stays alive for up to 5 minutes and the brain probably knows what has happened. No pain though as the nerves are severed. I think suffocating or drowning is best. Again being burned alive is not as bad as it looks or what people may think as within the first few seconds the nerves in the skin are burned and they die therefore the person feels no pain after the initial 5-10 seconds. The person then dies of dehydration as water oozes out the skin.

Ok I need a link on the head staying alive for 5 minutes. I have been at some nasty accidents and am under the belief that without oxygen or blood the brain is dead.

Actually brain can stay alive for 3 minutes without oxygen. Severe and irreversable injury can occur at 5 minutes without oxygen. Muscles can remain without oxygen for up to 15 minutes whereas kidneys will be damaged before that. Some organs are stronger than others.
