^ The entire state of Arkansas was behind the effort to get him elected - they'd had enough of his goofy ass, the fuckers.

A budget surplus, no unnecessary wars, etc. I am convinced that if Katrina had happened on his watch, it would have been handled more effectively. And now that I’ve seen how bad someone in that office can really fuck up and what lies he can tell, how many soldiers he can kill, how he can blame the public’s vehicle choice for his faulty energy policy, on and on and on, I have gained some respect for Bill Clinton.

He will do it for the good of the country.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

He was the most popular president in history.

You wouldn't know popular even if you were giving $20 blow jobs.

Pathetic. We sure did have this conversation. If Bush was caught raping some little boy, you'd say the boy was dressing suggestively.

The Gov. AND the NO mayor are equally culpable. President Bush did all that he could in terms of the limited federal mandate for FEMA. It is only the kookbergers who want to blame the President for everything bad that happens. I'm really surprised they haven't accused him of causing the bridge collapse in MN or the mine collapse in UT. I'm sure they are working overtime to figure out a way to do that too.
