Poor rich Steve.

My PPC 6600 does everything iPhone can do and more for the fraction of the cost for the last two years.

Oh, just like many mp3 players are like the IPOD.

My partner has it. POS. The coverage sucks and it is too complex. Coverage is really sub par, retrieving e mails is a crap shoot.

Excellent post, great commercial. As previously stated, that was a needed laugh.

I have a Cingular-branded 3125, it's a Windows Mobile device. It gets to the wireless version of the web and provides a wireless modem link to the laptop when there's no other reasonable alternative. Since it's a WM device it also has the light versions of word, excel etc. on it, but without a qwerty keyboard, why bother? T-9 texting is fine for text and e-mailing, but to handle a spreadsheet? No way, no how. It's substantially smaller than the i-phone, and has decent battery life, like most cell phones the camera is next to worthless. That said, if you were to offer me an i-phone as a straight-across exchange, I'd take you up on it, then I'd sell the i-phone to an unsuspecting soul and buy another 3125, pocketing the rest. (Caveat, the 3125 does have some problems, mine's been replaced under warranty twice, but even at that it's the best phone I've used in a long time given it's versatility.) If battery life were better I'd get the Blackjack, though.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)

I have to agree with you. When WM-5 came out I went to phonescoop.com to see what people where saying and no one mentioned crashing issues. At the time I was using the Blackberry 8700g from the 7290. I paid full price for the 8700g and loved it, no issues. With in three weeks of owning the BB-8700g I had to work with multi-media content and needed a device that could do what BB did but also had video and web, wi-fi, bluetooth etc.... I got my hands on the MDA and was surpise at how small the device was and the fact that it was touch screen and voice activated I loved it. I still use it today.

I am going with a new carier because of the options availible do to price and competition. My only hope is I can get my MDA unlocked, we'll see if it works this friday. I realy thought the iphone would be sweet because of the apps a business user can work with. The ease of using WM5 or 6 verses OX in a mobile device makes more sence in my prospective. I am starting to believe the i-phone will be the new SideKick. All looks no muscle for a business power user.

Now as far as multi-media is concerned, I can watch movies on my MDA, play music and not have to only be isolated to i-tunes. Its also touch screen and has the rotating featers. Hopefuly later down the line Steve will introduce an I-phone for business users and Bill Gates will introduce an intergraded OS like (Nokia /Blackberry) and (Microsoft/Palm).

Some things about the i-phone I heard was it doesnt have wi-fi, and doesnt have IM. Dont know for sure. I also dont know if it has a cam. But I am sure there will be an i-phone in the $800-$1200 proce range with all the bells and whisles by early next year. I also think they will make some kind of flip phone further there market share by the middle of next year.....

I have K750i and K510i and couldnt be any happier. They were cheap as dirt yet superb package in price vs performance. Better than similar equipped Nokia ones i say. The K750i flash is xenon so it turns stuff yellow however you can get around it by manually adjusting white balance.

Its actualy realy realy good. Thats another things I was taken by. I assumed the battery would die like in an hour or two of use, but with normal use its last for about 4.5 to 5 hours, and thats 4.5 to 5 hours of talking, texting, email, and web surfing, being that I am a club promoter on weekends, I get alot of people texting thier guestlist, and also going on line to check my gmail for further guestlist info. IM is a plus aswell when you promoting or working with people across states. Actaul stand by is about 4 days even.
