Why bother, it means nothing to me......... Some of the sarcastic comments that his "Colonel" made, are a way of life in the military as you might recall.
If you had a call, and your helicopter had a few red slashes in the book you went anyway didn't you? The only thing that kept a machine on the ground was a red X, and that didn't mean much if there was a way you could work around it......... Or am I wrong about that too......
Lots has been made recently about sending guys out in under armored Hum Vees....... as I recall the M38 Jeeps didn't have a whole lot of amour either, yet the GI's used them a fair amount. When the Germans started to string piano wire across the roads to slice off heads, the GI's didn't whine to their Congressmen, or the news media, they put a reinforced steel pipe on the front bumper to snap the wire before the driver reached it.
Far too much whining and complaining s far as I'm concerned, and much if not most of it, coming from people that don't have a dog in that fight.
