Barn Finds

The story goes...

"A New York man retired. He wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal. The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 years; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs.
The house was sold to pay taxes. There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut.
Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway ... so, nobody made an offer on the place.
The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth; moved in, and set about to tear in to the barn ... curiosity was killing him. So, he and his wife bought a generator and a couple of grinders ... and cut thru the welds.
What was in the barn?"

Nice collection, none the less.

Gotta love how the guy only refers to the American cars as 'barges." Besides the 356, the adenaur, and a handful of others, the rest are pure unreliable, poorly made euro trash built cheaply enough so the European masses could afford them and get taken to the cleaners before mass education got them to recognizing better. To think some people still know little enough about cars to think them superior in all respects. Ignorant.

PS The Louts 7 is the epitome of shit.

Bahn burner? More like parking lot, cone headed heroes who never break 90mph on a good track. That little piece of shit would get blown off the autobahn by a 6.3 or 6.9 of the same time period. Yes when, and I do mean when, they ran they were great low mass, low content, low polar, slot cars.
