I hope that video gives the engineers a clue as to what caused this failure.

Between the video, which will give some directional ideas, and the 300 page inspection report from last fall, they should have a real good idea.

Just heard today that the NTSB, who NEVER preannounces anything, is focusing on one very specific section on the south side as it twisted and slid, rather than just fell.

The guys from GRW, which is the highly annoying engineering company that I worked with while doing Base Relocation and Closing [BRAC] surveys is up there. The good news is they have some of the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.

Speaking of sharp knives, GW was up here today.

Never happen, ed. Ron would have to spend so much time moving responses to that thread (if that's even possible) that it would seriously cut into his posting time...I mean, the running of his German auto parts business.

I know he couldn't do it. Only way it could work is if the combatants would agree to take their differences to the "Cat Fight" sticky thread.

Could you imagine what that thread would soon look like? Go visit a twenty or thirty person chatroom and ty to follow any two people talking to each other.
