No, the straps are only really needed in slippery situations. Most of the time they are best worn as mules. No-one can say that they're pretty, but that's not the intention. Sitlettos are pretty, but would you wear those?

Ha! My wife's got about 20 in different colors, loves 'em. I thought they were from the dollar store they look so funky. Maybe I don't wanna know how much they cost.
