Your justification for hating homosexuals on a religious basis comes from Levitican Law, or the book of Leviticus. This would be the third book of the Old Testament/Torah and largely defines the laws and obligations of the Jewish priests and people. Including such oldies & goodies as:
-idolatry/slaughter of animals (Kosher eating)
-observation of annual feasts and the Sabbath
It is this last area that people who thump the Bible against homosexuality use as justification for hatred/oppression of homosexuals. Yet in the New Testament Jesus teaches us that we are to hate the sin but love the sinner. He also teaches us that it is not our place to judge, it is God's. He finally teaches us to treat others as we wish to be treated ourselves.
So based on your "personal religious beliefs" I am certain that you also follow all of the other requirements of Levitican Law. Observing the Sabbath at sundown on Friday, not mixing dairy and meat, keeping your head covered at all times, sacrificing the odd ram, etc. You aren't applying the teachings of Christ. Which would make you, by my estimation, Jewish.
This would probably rate an 8 or 9 out of 10 on the irony meter. If you were a little more of a Mensch you'd understand that. What I expect from you, though, is some sort of an accusation of me being Jewish, Gay, or possibly both. Followed by some sort of inane emoticon.
I hope you don't let me down. Shalom.
