She didn't "pass through that ideological stage." She is stuck there and will remain there. God help us all if that wack-job ever becomes president!

Jayhawk, you forgot this part!

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

I think Giuliani got them all beat, he's going to win because he is aligning himself with the right people to propel him to power.

Giuliani assembles staff of pro-Israel advisors

Republican presidential frontrunner Rudy Giuliani has assembled a staff of foreign policy advisors described by some as a “who's who” of Middle East and pro-Israel hawks.
Leading the pack is neoconservative leader Norman Podhoretz, who has of late been a leading advocate for military action against Iran.
The group also includes several advisors with extensive experience in the Israeli-Arab conflict, including Charles Hill, a top aide to former secretary of state George Shultz and one-time political counselor to the American Embassy in Tel Aviv, and Martin Kramer, an Islam expert at Harvard University and a fellow with the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and the Jerusalem-based Shalem Center, both firmly pro-Israel organizations.
Ben Chouake, head of the pro-Israel political action committee Norpac, told the Jewish weekly Forward that Giuliani's selections show the former New York City mayor is “very serious about his approach to ensuring the security and safety of Israel.”
Giuliani's choice of advisors is also likely to play well to right-wing Jewish and Evangelical Christian voters, who are largely credited with putting George W. Bush in office.

I really don't think a staff of pro-Israel hawks will win him much in the primaries. It could play well in the general, but he has to actually win the primary first, and I think Romney looks much stronger and well-rounded than does old pro-abortion Giuliani...
