Over the past two years I have had Sunday lunch with my US Congressman about once every month. It used to be every two weeks but he is not able to get back to Kentucky as often. When I am in DC he always makes time to see me. The lunch is a group of about 20 of us, not including the kids and includes eight families and a couple of singles, no press and a pretty spirited debate. You realize of course that this is not the norm, many of these guys wouldn't give you the time of day, and they're not just Republicans.
